The Global Air Quality Trekkers (GAQT) are a team of undergraduate engineers within the Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS) department at Purdue University. The goal of the GAQT team is to develop natural ventilation solutions and efficient filtration methods in order to mitigate the amount of air pollution present in homes and schools.

Currently, we are a part of the US EPA P3 Grant. The P3 Grant (People, Prosperity, and the Planet) is a national competition for university students to design innovative solutions for a more sustainable future. We were fortunate enough to win Phase I of the grant in August 2023 and currently, in the Fall 2023 semester, are working toward Phase II. At the end of the year, our team will pitch what we have accomplished to the EPA in Washington DC to compete for the grant and have the change to win up to $100,000.
